This spacious 18th century stone cottage is located in the quaint little fishing village of Craster just 100 metres from the sea. Archway Cottage benefits from an attractive courtyard garden. The accommodation is most spacious, comfortable and well furnished, featuring an open plan lounge/dining room with integral kitchen area. The coastal footpath between Beadnell and Alnmouth passes through the village and the splendid sandy beaches at Embleton and Howick are a pleasant 1.5 miles in either direction. Although the fishing fleet has reduced over the years Craster is still renowned for its oak smoked kippers produced in the village since the early 19th century. The ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle, perched on the cliff edge, provide a dramatic backdrop to Craster harbour. Pub serves food. Alnwick is 7 miles.
