Ideal coastal location
This deceptively large, charming detached property is in a conservation area, situated yards from a sandy beach in the Northumberland fishing village of Amble and has panoramic sea views. Coquet Island just off the shore is home to puffins and seals, and there are numerous bird sanctuaries nearby. Amble lies between Alnmouth to the north and Duridge Bay to the south, and is an excellent holiday base for exploring the Northumbrian coast with its magnificent long sandy beaches and unspoilt fishing hamlets. A mile up river is Warkworth, famous for its imposing castle. Take a boat trip to see the puffins, terns and other numerous birds on the Farne Islands, or visit Holy Island, with its abbey ruins and medieval castle, reached by a causeway which is cut off by tides twice a day. Harbour, marina, pubs, shops and restaurants 1/4 mile.
