Crowdy Cottage is a charming semi detached stone cottage found on the outskirts of South End in Longhoughton Village. It is delightfully situated in a beautiful, peaceful position tucked away from view down a small track. It was originally 2 farm cottages built in the 1800’s and is now one larger cottage. Crowdy Cottage provides spacious living with well proportioned rooms.
The large garden provides guests with a lovely natural area in which to relax and take in the views of the coast and rural Northumberland while enjoying a barbeque with friends.
The coastline of this region is characterised by a mixture of rocky inlets and lovely sandy beaches with attractive walks along cliff tops. A 14 mile coastal footpath between Beadnel and Alnmouth passes nearby (1 mile from Crowdy Cottage) providing the opportunity of walking through some of the most outstanding coastal scenery in the country, this part of the Heritage Coast being designated an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty” as well as being a “Site of Special Scientific Interest”. The Coast and Castle cycle route passes nearby.
