Welcome to Dilston Mill, a unique 'self-serve' B&B in a converted historic watermill on the banks of Devils Water in Northumberland. This unspoiled and uncrowded area is one of England's best kept secrets and the Mill has been a witness to its dramatic and colourful history back to the Middle Ages with links further back to Roman and Anglo-Saxon times.
Dilston Mill is in a secluded but convenient position, 1 mile from Corbridge and 2 from Hexham. These charming and historic towns with Roman remains and ancient churches also offer excellent dining and other amenities, including a theatre, cinema, modern swimming pool and country park. We are an excellent base for touring Hadrian's Wall sites. We are also close to all modern sporting (golf, water sports, pony-trekking, cycling, walking) and leisure amenities and the vibrant entertainment, nightlife and shopping of Newcastle, Gateshead and the Metro Centre. In addition, the world heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Beamish outdoor museum, Kielder lake, coastal beaches, hills, moorland and the Scottish Borders are all within easy reach.
Our visitors are special: we host only 2 parties at a time (2 to 4 persons) in your own private bed and breakfast suites. Coffees, teas, fresh fruit and biscuits are always available. Generous self-serve breakfasts are provided to have when you want, appreciated by the more independent visitor.
Private B&B Suite: (sleeps 2-4)
Comfortable double and twin bedrooms. Large shower in shower room. Cosy self-serve breakfast room; self serve breakfasts for flexible B&B. All rooms overlook the Devils Water river.
Studio Suite: (sleeps 2)

If you wish, we can provide information, suggestions and make arrangements to help make your visit special.
