Dowfold House is an elegant country house built in 1860 for William Pease, a local mine owner. Situated in attractive gardens above the market town of Crook is has superb views over the town to the rolling countryside beyond.
The house is ideally situated for touring Weardale or visiting Durham City or Bishop Auckland. Just 4 miles from A68 road to Corbridge it makes an ideal stop on route north.
