Craster is a small fishing village with a fleet of fishing boats sheltering in its harbour. Craster is famous for its smoked kippers, crab and lobster. Harbourside House is situated directly onto the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle-which follows the rocky shore to the famous dramatic ruins of the Castle. The shore is an idyllic fun place for children. There is also a beautiful playground right by the sea at the other end of the village. The area is a favourite for birdwatchers-with many species to be seen at all times of the year. There is access to the coastal cycle route nearby. Harbourside House has 3 bedrooms. The front bedroom has fitted wardrobes, TV and a king-sized bed with a beautiful view of the sea and harbour. The second bedroom is a peaceful room with views over the countryside towards Dunstanburgh Castle. It has a king-sized bed which can also be made into twin beds. The other front room is a single room. The bathroom has been totally refurbished, with heated towel rail and shower over the bath. The kitchen has also been totally refurbished with every modern appliance. There is a dishwasher and washer and dryer in the garage. The sitting/dining room has an electric log effect fire. The room has uninterrupted sea views and is very comfortable. Patio doors lead to an enclosed garden with patio and garden furniture. The dining area seats 6. There is a TV and video in the lounge. The house is a few minutes walk from the local pub, the famous seafood restaurant. The house is a non-smoking house. Children are welcome and a high chair and travel cot are available. Oil fired central heating, linen and towels included in the overall cost per week. 1 pet welcome. Saturday to Saturday booking.
