In the beautiful open countryside, Highview Country House is the ideal place for peace and tranquillity. All rooms have been fully refurbished to a high standard for 2010. Set on the edge of the attractive, quiet village of Kirk Merrington, the bed and breakfast accommodation is only 2 minutes walk from public houses offering food. Nearby there are good local walks, leisure centre with swimming facilities and gym equipment, fishing and golf.

Only 10 minutes from the A1 motorway (jct 60), it allows easy access to explore the Northeast of England. Famous castles, museums, waterfalls, world heritage sites and tourist attraction Beamish are all within comfortable driving distance. The beautiful historic city of Durham with Durham Cathedral and Castle is a 10 minute drive.
