Situated in the heart of the listed village of Blanchland this Grade II listed, enchanting & medieval hotel boasts a fantastic, authentic atmosphere. Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Blanchland, one of only six listed villages in the country, and surrounded by woodland trails and open moors of the Upper Derwent Valley the location is ideal for the pursuit of several outdoor activities including sailing & fishing on the Derwent reservoir, clay pigeon shooting and of course walking, with 9 different routes on the doorstep of the hotel. The location also provides an excellent touring base for the North East with attractions including Hadrian’s Wall, Durham University, Durham Castle and Cragside all within 30 minutes drive away. The market villages of Corbridge and Hexham are just minutes away and the metro centre of Newcastle is also just 35 minutes drive away.
