Millhouse Cottage

Waren Mill lies on the coast of North Northumberland, amidst some fantastic scenery, with historic castles and long sandy beaches on the doorstep. The now nationally renowned Alnwick Gardens and Alnwick Castle are only a twenty minute drive away and the heart of the beautiful Cheviot Hills are forty minutes to the west. The city of Newcastle with its culture and shopping and the Gateshead Metro Centre are only an hour to the south and historic Edinburgh is an hour to the north. You could not be better placed to enjoy everything that Northumberland offers you.

The hamlet of Warren Mill is approximately 2.5 miles from the historic village of Bamburgh with its imposing castle and beautiful beach. Bamburgh has a delicatessen, news agency, post office and a selection of restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. In the other direction, Waren Mill is 2 miles from the A1, 3 miles from the village of Belford (with supermarket, golf course, cash point and pubs) and 15 miles from Holy Island.

Millhouse Cottage (which sleeps 6 + cot) is a delightful, stone-built property which lies on the edge of Waren Mill. There are beautiful views from the sitting room and master bedroom over Budle Bay, which is part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and is a haven for bird life. There is a choice of superb sandy beaches close by, with the nearest being approximately a mile away.

The property has a mature, enclosed and private garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue. The sitting room and dining room both have open fires. The kitchen/breakfast room and the utility room have all modern conveniences to a very high standard, featuring an electric range cooker with double ovens, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Everything the modern kitchen requires is catered for. There is a colour TV, DVD, video, radio/cassette/CD player and a selection of books, games, toys and DVDs. A highchair and a travel cot are available on request. (Baby bed linen is not provided).

There is a king size bedroom with en suite shower room, a double bedroom with en suite shower room and a twin bedroom with wash hand basin. There is also a family bathroom.

Millhouse Cottage is a no smoking property and we do not take pets. We operate a Friday changeover.

Prices include linen, towels, central heating, electricity, logs and coal. In addition , we also provide washing up liquid, kitchen towel, toilet roll, dishwasher tablets and hand-pump soap at all the sinks.
