This traditional stone holiday cottage in the hamlet of Featherstone Park is situated in the north Pennines, an AONB and named by the naturalist David Bellamy as Britain's last great wilderness. By the Pennine Way and close to the borders of Cumbria, an ideal location to explore the area. Hadrian's Wall 5 miles and the Border Forest Park of Keilder 40 miles. Alston, the highest market town in England with its quaint cobbled streets and railway is easily accessible by road or by walking the South Tyne Trail. Within a short drive is the Lake District and the Scottish borders. The historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge are within 1/2 hours drive. Pub ¼ mile, shops 2½ miles.
