Originally built as a farmhouse in 1747, this stone-built Inn and restaurant features a cosy open fire, sunny walled beer-garden and conservatory, excellent bar meals and a la carte menus (including vegetarian) using fresh, local produce, good choice of wines and 5 cask ales, 2 from local micro-breweries.
A friendly, family run hotel, it has 17 en suite bedrooms, including ground floor rooms with disabled access, and is ideally placed for exploring Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder and Border Reiver country, whether by car, cycle or on foot.
Situated in the quiet village of Wark within 100yds of the River North Tyne, there is ample parking on site and secure storage for cycles. Packed lunches can be provided.
