Tilldale House

Nestling in the Cheviot Hills Wooler is an ideal base for touring the unspoilt countryside of Northumberland. Tilldale House is located on the 'High Street', it forms a loop road off the main road, the A697 Cottage Road, and is used by local traffic. There is no constant traffic during the evening hours.

A good base to explore the lovely local countryside, The Cheviot Hills, Holy Island, the Farne Islands , Alnwick Castle and gardens, historic Berwick, Ford and Etal and the beautiful beaches on the coast. Excellent access to the Scottish Borders.

A warm welcome awaits at our award winning bed and breakfast. We have welcomed guests here for over twenty years. Guests have access to the house at all times during their stay.

We have excellent facilities for walkers and cyclists and hold both the Walkers Welcome and Cyclists Welcome awards. We have a large indoor space to work on your bicycles should you need to do any repairs and a wash off facility if you get them muddy!

Situated on the St Cuthberts Way walk and the Inn Way we are happy to "dry out" walkers if you have been unlucky with the weather.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement in consideration of other guests they are not allowed in the breakfast room in the morning. There are plenty of dog friendly places to take your dogs for an "evening meal" and lots of dog friendly walking places within easy reach of our Bed & Breakfast.

Our 17thC stone built home has spacious, comfortable bedrooms all with ensuite facilities, zip-link beds to be either doubles or twins, colour televisions, drink trays, central heating and double glazing.

If you wish to bring you bicycles we have a secure lock up for them. Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

Our breakfasts are noted for quality and quantity. Vegetarian, vegan and special diets are catered for.
