Further down the coast you can explore traditional smokehouses before feasting on freshly smoked Craster Kippers for breakfast.

 

For lunch, try a Northumbrian steak sandwich washed down with Fentiman's ginger beer in the world's largest treehouse in The Alnwick Garden before taking a guided tour round the poison garden.
