Enjoy England Official Partner 2010Amble Tourist Information Centre is a local attraction and visitor service offering information on accommodation, events, attractions, days out, walks, cycle rides, and local services.
Bed and Breakfasts and Hotels all over the UK can be booked from Amble TIC via the 'Book-A-Bed-Ahead' service. Times for the Coquet Island Boat Trips are available, along with information relating to crossing the Holy Island Causeway. Relevant information also includes the weather forecast, shipping conditions, and high and low tide times for the coast.
Also available are OS maps, guides, postcards, children's toys, magnets, badges, and locally-produced produce and gifts. The ever-popular Northumberland Flag can also be purchased in-store in the form of a 3' x 5' material flag or as a car sticker.
All visitors, residents and passers-by are welcome into the TIC which can is located in the centre of the town on the Town Square. Staff members are local, experienced and trained in hospitality and customer service. The building itself has won awards for design and practicality for intended use. The website - www.visitamble.com - is an ideal knowledge base for the surrounding area, containing information from the TIC and several reputable sources. There is a vast range of free literature available for visitors to read at their own leisure or download from their website - over 150 leaflets!
Used by tourists and locals alike, the Amble TIC is a multi-purpose centre which can assist visitors with information regarding local and national attractions, accommodation, and transport. There is up-to-date accommodation availability from the local B&Bs and Hotels.
The entire TIC is wheelchair accessible and an induction loop is installed. Large print literature is available on request.
