Free admission to National Glass Centre
The National Glass Centre in Sunderland has introduced FREE admission. This exciting attraction is dedicated to exploring ideas through glass, and providing opportunities for people to be creative and feel inspired. Based in a spectacular contemporary glass and steel building on the banks of the River Wear in Sunderland, the National Glass Centre has galleries, artist's studios and production facilities, a glass shop and conference and banqueting facilities, as well as an award-wining caf restaurant. It also features a programme of changing exhibitions by world-renowned glass artists. Other free attractions in the city include the Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens and the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art.
