The Official Visitor Information Site for North East England
Neasham is a village approximately four miles to the south east of Darlington in Country Durham, England. The village sits on the banks of the river Tees which, at that point, marks the border between the countries of Durham and North Yorkshire. The layout of Neasham consists of one main street, Teesway, which runs west to east for about half a mile.
In the summer visitors come to the village for canoeing, cycling and horse riding – a horse can be guaranteed to be seen everyday in the village in the summer. An attractive 8.4 mile walk, the 'Sockburn Loop' which takes its names from the loop in the River Tees, starts here and takes you into nearby North Yorkshire over the river and back to your starting point. Nearby The Fox and Hounds pub is well placed for much deserved refreshments. Call Information Darlington on 01325 388666 for a copy of the guide
