Created by internationally acclaimed American artist James Turrell, the Kielder Skyspace is a sculptural artwork at the Cat Cairn viewpoint where the artist manipulates our normal perceptions of light and space.

From Newcastle or Carlisle, follow the A69 to Hexham then follow the B6320 to Bellingham (brown-signed Kielder Water & Forest) and take the C200 to Kielder Water & Forest Park.
From Jedburgh/Edinburgh take the A68 south to Otterburn, then the B6320 to Bellingham and follow the brown signs to Kielder Water & Forest Park along the C200.
Skyspace is sign-posted from the C200.
Please remember to fill up your tank before you begin your journey as there are no petrol stations in the immediate Kielder Water & Forest Park area.
Follow the C200 road past Kielder Water towards Kielder Village. Parking at the (Skyspace signed) car park 200m off the public road, the sculpture is a one mile walk up the forest road. vehicular access is allowed but visitors will need to get a key to pass through a forestry barrier to enable them to drive up to the sculpture. Keys are available from Kielder visitor centres, the local shop, the Anglers Arms in Kielder village and from the Calvert Trust.
