Conundrum Farm is the perfect place to visit for all the family - whether you spend the day with us exploring the Farm and Battle Trail, or just pop in for a coffee or to sample some of our delicious food in the Restaurant.
Only a stone's throw away from the Scottish Borders, an hour south of Edinburgh and an hour north of Newcastle, the ideal place to take a break, we are easy to find - just off the A1. It is easy to relax here in some of the most beautiful countryside in England.
The Battle Trail at Conundrum Farm depicts the history of an area enriched by a colourful and passionate past. The Battle of Halidon Hill took place here in 1333 and saw the English recapture Berwick upon Tweed, in an overwhelming victory against the Scots. The trail allows visitors to see for themselves what it was like for soldiers on the battlefield, where pieces of glass artwork vividly recreate life-size images of soldiers ghosted against the backdrop of the surrounding hills. Take time to walk around the Battle Trail and enjoy the best of what Northumberland has to offer. Call into the shop to pick up a free map.
