Darlington is an award-winning Market Town. In 2008 it won the top award at the industry's Oscars where it was named'Market of the Year' Christmas shoppers in Darlington will step into a 19th Century Winter Wonderland, when the Market Square will be filled with log cabins selling a variety of festive fayre, including roasted chestnuts, Christmas trees, mulled wine and mince pies.
There will be music and carol singing, traditional fairground rides and attractions to help everyone get into the Christmas spirit
Market stalls selling a range of foods, arts, craft and gifts will fill Blackwellgate and High Row for this five-day event, helping shoppers in Darlington to find the perfect presents to make Christmas extra special.
There will also be free prize draws and competitions, well worth a visit.
