As always, The Glendale Show being held at Wooler on August Bank Holiday promises to be a fun day out for all the family, bringing town and countryside together with something for everyone.
The Glendale Show, celebrates all aspects of farming and rural life, from the best of livestock to the latest innovation and diversification in the region. The Show proudly features many attractions including the livestock, rare breeds and equine classes and industrial and horticultural sections with their huge displays of baking, vegetables, flowers and craftwork.
This year's star attraction in the main ring includes, The Devil’s Horsemen with their dare devil stunts, the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and of course the Grand Parade of Livestock.
For those looking for a spot of retail therapy, there are 160 trade stands. From equestrian and pet products, from clothing and footwear to handicrafts and giftware the Show offers an all round retail experience. There is also a wonderful array of local speciality food stalls, catering and bar facilities.
This year will see the fifth annual 6 mile Glendale Show Fell Race, which is held in accordance with FRA rules and safety regulations. There is also a two mile junior race.
