The Official Visitor Information Site for North East England
In Tudor times, the North East was seen as a wild, dangerous place with nearby Scotland often an enemy of England, and border reivers roaming the land. Following huge success in 2006, this pioneering exhibition returns to Segedunum to show visitors what daily life was really like nearly 500 years ago. A richman's parlour and kitchen have been recreated and are on display alongside interactive exhibits and real Tudor objects.
