Kick-off your shoes and enjoy the feel of oak floors under your feet. Stand at any window, take in the green vista of orchard, fields and gardens. Go outside, watch the abundant wildlife and just sit and listen to the enchanting chorus of birds and animals.

There's lots of space to do your own thing in your beautiful private orchard garden. Regardless of weather, have a party in the Lapland Party House (seats 12 people) with its own indoor barbeque. Sit on the patio on sunny days enjoy the view and cook on the gas barbeque.

Road Directions

Dilston House is on the B6307 (Slaley and Blanchland) road 1.1 miles south of Corbridge. Just 300yds from junction with main A695 Hexham to Gateshead road.

From West: Take A69 to A68/Corbridge junction. Turn right into Corbridge, through village then head down to river bridge taking the road going south opposite The Angel Inn. Over river turn right (signed Hexham) at roundabout. 300 yds turn left onto little road signed Slaley/Blanchland. Follow road for 800 yds to crossroads with A695. Cross over following signs to Dilston Castle and Slaley. We are 300 yds up on hill on left.

From East: Take A69 to 1st (Brockbushes) roundabout. Take 2nd exit from roundabout to Corbridge. Follow road into Corbridge, through village then head down to river bridge taking the road going south (left) opposite The Angel Inn. Over river turn right (signed Hexham) at roundabout. 300yds turn left onto little road signed Slaley/Blanchland. Follow road for 800yds to crossroads with A695. Cross over following signs to Dilston Castle and Slaley. We are 300yds up on hill on left.

Public Transport Directions

Train: Corbridge station 1 mile on main cross country line between Newcastle (East Coast Main Line) and Carlisle (West Coast Main Line). Trains run in both directions at least hourly, more frequent at peak times.

Bus: Bus stop 0.5 mile, on route between Newcastle and Hexham and places to west. Hourly service.

Taxi: Ranks at Hexham railway station and Hexham bus station. No ranks in Corbridge.
