The Official Visitor Information Site for North East England
Castles, gardens, beaches, golf courses and miles of unspoilt countryside - all are within easy reach of our comfortable hotel, a former coaching inn.
Our central marble staircase was once owned by Queen Caroline, wife of George IV and came originally from Brandenburg House in London.
Scenes from Shakespeare's play Henry IV are set in Warkworth Castle, a short stroll up the hill.
We take a particular pride in our food and drink, featuring quality local produce and a well-chosen wine list.
Northumbria is a wonderful area to explore and our relaxed hotel makes a comfortable base for a few days, especially if you choose our excellent value DB&B (Half-Board) rates. Many of our guests come back time and time again - why not stay with us and find out why for yourself? New in 2007 - Executive rooms - please enquire.
