Hello, I am Patrick Norris; I set up Footsteps in 2011 with my wife Louise to share with you the best walking country in north Northumberland.
Footsteps does not walk just in the hills and mountains of Northumberland; it goes further; so together we will explore the Heritage Coast, its castles, golden beaches and the once busy fishing villages. We will walk in the countryside with its villages, hamlets and market towns scattered across the farming landscape and along the wild river valleys and wilder Cheviot Hills of the Northumberland National Park.
Before setting up Footsteps, I was a professional countryside ranger for 20 years; during which time I built up my knowledge and awareness of the British countryside including its landscapes, wildlife and cultural history; I will share that knowledge with you as we walk through the beautiful landscapes of north Northumberland.
There is a Footsteps walk every day of the week except Mondays, either on the coast, in the countryside or the hills and valleys of the National Park. You can choose your walk and allow us to be your guides as we walk in the stunning Northumbrian countryside.
I am a qualified hill walking guide, holding the Walking Group Leader Award, gained at The National Mountain Centre at Plas Y Brenin in Snowdonia.
Please get in touch with Louise or me, if you have any questions about the walks, or visit the website for more information about who we are and what we do.
