Tourism Awards 2011 - Silver 2011Go Ape! The UK’s No.1 Tree Top Adventure
Go Ape is a tree top adventure based in the heart of Matfen, a mile or two to the north of Hadrian's Wall near Hexham. Our first course to be built in the grounds of a country house hotel, Go Ape Matfen is nestled within one of the UK’s most unspoilt areas of natural beauty, surrounded by 300 acres of historic parkland..
Why not come and enjoy the views from the forest canopy?
Go Ape offers two to three hours of tree top fun. It’s a great way to get outdoors and have an adventure. We take one lush, green forest and a healthy dollop of breathtaking scenery; blend with a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings (using ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels, rope and super-strong cable) and wind-in-your-face zip wires; and finish off with a liberal dose of people in search of their inner ape.

•Minimum Age - 10yrs
•Minimum Height - 1.4m (4ft7")
