Killhope - Letters and Language of Lead

'Letters of Lead’ and ‘ Language of Lead’, two new permanent artworks commissioned as part of museumaker , a prestigious national project. Inspired by the museum’s historic features and the lives of Victorian mine workers, and informed by the involvement of young people, these contemporary installations are a must see. While you are here, go on a guided mine tour of Park Level mine. Work as a washer boy and find your all minerals. Explore the exhibitions, social history, Spar boxes and minerals of the North Pennines. Killhope’s temporary exhibition will be ‘A Miscellany of Museum Marvels’. Wonder the woodland walks and maybe see red squirrels. Shop and café complete your day out. Killhope is in the centre of the North Pennines, so which ever way you come the scenery is breathtaking.
