Born and raised in County Durham and as an only child the many happy hours tramping the Durham Moors with her gamekeeper grandfather gave her a deep love for the countryside. After returning to Durham, Kate gained a degree in Environmental Science in 1998. Now qualified as a Blue Badge Guide she enjoys sharing and exploring this wonderful part of the world with visitors.
